Like A Virgin
At Easter in 2007 we staged Like A Virgin by Gordon Steel.

Thursday 12th – Saturday 14th April at 7.15pm
Angela and Maxine are 16 and aspire to be Madonna and appear on Top of the Pops. They write songs, form a band and everything is going well until Angela is diagnosed with myeloid leukaemia.
This is an amazing play that addresses serious contemporary issues with raw humour.
If you like John Godber’s plays, you will definitely enjoy Like A Virgin.
This play contains strong language.
£1 from each ticket was donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. The total donation from ticket sales and from collecting tins was £177. For more information of the work they do, please visit the Macmillan web site.

The poster
For the poster, we shot a video of Alison (Angela) and Emma (Maxine) dancing. From about 10 minutes of video, we selected the best action shot and applied lots of motion blur to generate the image we used.
